Truly a must for a unique wedding ceremony. Moermond Castle is an official wedding venue, offering everything needed for a romantic wedding day! When celebrating your special day at this location, there’s no need to go to the town hall for the civil ceremony.
The exchange of vows can take place in our ceremonial room, ‘De Ridderzaal’. This authentic wedding hall features a decorative tapestry, dark wooden ceiling beams, and a hardwood floor. The room accommodates up to 60 guests and provides a unique and atmospheric setting for your wedding ceremony.
If the weather is nice, we offer you the unique opportunity to marry outdoors in our Castle Garden. Here, surrounded by trees, birdsong, and the romantic castle moat, you can say “I do.” The garden features a charming gazebo and offers space for up to 200 guests to witness your wedding.
Reception & partynight
If you desire a romantic atmosphere at an impressive location, look no further! In Slot Moermond the historical ambience is impossible to ignore. We take great care to create a beautiful reception at any location of this estate. Take your pick between one of the rooms in the estate or the expansive terrace bordering the Castle Garden.
The characteristic and authentic atmosphere of the estate, with its dark wooden ceiling beams and beautiful wooden floor, features in De Ridderzaal. You can use this hall for your reception. For a bigger company we can include the adjacent Tuikamer (garden room) to the Ridderzaal. With good weather we recommend our expansive terrace with the bordering Castle Garden. Here you can make a toast to a happy marriage, together with friends, family and loved ones, while enjoying the balmy sun.
Moermond Castle is also the perfect place for a lively evening celebration. There are various options available for your wedding party. Choose one of our charming rooms or host your wedding celebration in the Castle Garden. Naturally, we have excellent connections with suppliers of unique (party) tents.
Our hospitable staff will serve delicious snacks and drinks in consultation with you. We are happy to work with you to tailor the catering to your preferences. Your evening celebration at this unique wedding venue will be a lasting memory for both you and your guests. Culinary
When you pick an imposing weddinglocation in a castle, you can expect a culinary highlight during your weddingday. Our head chef will create a wedding dinner tailored to your wishes. Of course, you can also opt for an extensive buffet or a stylish walking dinner in our characteristic Orangerie or in one of the historic castle rooms. A Burgundian-style barbecue on the terrace is also highly recommended.
Overnight stay
After a wonderful wedding day, you can enjoy an overnight stay in style at the hotel, just a short walk from the castle. All hotel rooms are modernly furnished and equipped with every comfort. You can relax in the whirlpool bath or enjoy the view from the terrace of your bridal suite.
The next morning, you’ll be treated to a lavish breakfast served in your room. If you prefer, you can also enjoy breakfast on the cosy terrace of the charming Orangerie. We are here to pamper you and ensure that you don’t lack a thing. Beautifully set tables and soft plaids will be waiting for you. Of course, your guests are also welcome to stay overnight at Landgoed Hotel Renesse. The estate offers a total of 44 modern hotel rooms.
